According to the scientists, the trees can use the growing attentions of the Carbon Dioxide in order to grow more, but according to the research, it is not just right!
To fight against the climate change and in order to taking in the greenhouse gases the trees are definitely our allies. But according to the new research, that case might not be true and the forests may not be as helpful as they are supposed.
According to the computer models, as the greenhouse gas attentiveness goes up, the forests will get advantage from the additional CO2 and grow up a little more, growing their capacity to alleviate the global warming.
In Thailand, Cameron and Bolivia, thousands of the tree rings were analyzed those were taken from the tropical forests and an international crew of the scientists is calling the theory into the question. There was no correlation found between the augmented atmospheric CO2 concentrations from the last 15 years and the forest growth as the evidenced in the trees’ rings.
The tropical forests are extremely significant carbon stocks – according to the Peter van der Sleen who is a lead author from the Wageningen University.
The findings have got the strength to transform the climate predictions and it was explained by the Lucas Cernusak. The existing model formulation forecast rising tropical forest biomass throughout the century – according to an email by the Cernusak.
It may be because of the fact that the new research came to a something different conclusion since there are differences in the research methodologies. The previous study was based on the analysis of the biomass material that was contained ina small forest plots instead of a random samples from the trees all through a forest.
According to the van der Sleen, “You can perceive that possibly Carbon Dioxide is not growing the growth of the trees, but the tree growth may not be the only thing that verifies the biomass.”
